I can truthfully confess that we had an unique stay at Honeylocust!

It is an ideal halfway stop from Pretoria to the Cape south coast . The establishment is brand new and furnished with an disguisable taste for the finer things in life and a lot of thought has been put into the design for sheer comfort.

It is set well back from the busy N1 and the main road into Colesburg to give you the tranquillity and peace that one deserves after a day’s long drive. We were so impressed that we immediately made a booking for our trip back to stay over again at this special little haven in the Karoo!

We stayed at the Honeylocust on our way to Cape Town and back to Johannesburg. We stayed in one of the top 3 branded hotels in Cape Town, but the quality and cleanliness of the guesthouse far exceeded our expectations and made the hotel stay somewhat of a disappointment.

I have not always been a big fan of Guest Houses as I felt they were not private or even at an acceptable standard but

Honeylocust guest house has changed my mind in that regard. It is the nicest guest house I have stayed in and the finishes used are top quality.

Honeylocust was exactly what we needed

Every year we drive down to our home in the Cape and invariable stay over in Colesberg either on the way down or on the way back.

We have tried many places to stay and this year hit the jackpot! Honeylocust was exactly what we needed …a real oasis after the long drive through the Karoo.

Honeylocust is probably one of the best guesthouses I have ever stayed in! I was really pleasantly surprised when we arrived after a long roadtrip to Colesburg. The establishment is looks brand new and no expense has been spared on the decor and fittings in the room. I will definitely be staying there again. Overall, a 5 star experience!

Excellent value for money

This is definitely Colesberg’s newest and best place to stay! We were fortunate to stay 2 nights, both on our way down and on our way back to the Cape. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with attention to small but important details. En suite bathrooms are large and also very tastefully done.
